In 1978, when Skalinada was founded, nobody even hoped that it would become one of Lokva Rogoznica’s main attractions. Our guests appreciate the care and attention they’re being given, so it is no wonder they keep returning here for decades already.

It’s location is perfect if you’re coming here by a car, and the front parking lot we’ve prepared for you is but a beginning of our services.
After a long trip, a meal is in order. Leave your belongings in one of our rooms with balconies, and come downstairs to taste delicious food at a large terrace. Aside from the taste and smell of food, you can also enjoy the view. Our kind staff will be there for you the entire time.
The food will delight you, and like most of our guests, you will probably decide on full board. Aside from full board, we also offer you half board and sole lodging.
As you’re already aware, we’ve prepared for you rooms with balconies surrounded by a view of the sea and surrounding islands. Perfect for a family. Reading a book and drinking wine in sunset on a balcony will make you forget all your worries. The elderly prefer rooms on the ground floor because of the ease of access.
If you have no need for large spaces, you can choose to stay in one of the rooms where you will have complete privacy, much like in the rest of the Skalinada facility. Your room can serve as a safe resting place after a long day of exploring the wonderful nature that surrounds our facility.
The closest wonderful beach is but a kilometer away, and the entire Makarska Riviera is known for its clear sea and beautiful beaches. Also, Lokva Rogoznica is situated in one of the most rewarding places for nature lovers, bordering sea, mountains, and a river.
Being nine kilometers away from Omiš means you’re a ten minute drive away from a town that almost seems to be made for romantic dinners. Aside from its romantic atmosphere, the mouth of Cetina river also makes Omiš special. Follow the Cetina river and explore the famous Republic of Poljica. Don’t forget to visit Radmanove Mlinice – a popular hideout from the summer heat. Take a drive to the statue of Mila Gojsalić and photograph a view that will be the envy of your friends. From Omiš’ outback, Split can be reached over the Mosor mountain. A direct drive from the boarding house to Split is only thirty kilometers long. On your way there you will pass along numerous fine rocky beaches where you can stay for a while in order to freshen up.
Beautiful beaches will also allure you on your way to Makarska, only twenty five kilometers away from Skalinada. If you enjoy mountaineering, Biokovo mountain will leave you speechless. Even if mountaineering does not interest you, climb it to enjoy a stunning view. Makarska is known for its nightlife, so if you wish to have a good time, spend a hot summer night in one of its many clubs.
Before you leave for a night out, you can enjoy your dinner at our restaurant and plan your night as you’re enjoying the view. Islands and the sea basking in the sunset accompanied by a glass of local wine is the best way to start your evening.
When you return to Skalinada after exploring nature or a night out, your room will be waiting for you so that you may rest before a new adventure.
